does anyone recall that when the PS3 was officially unveiled with this normal sc-fi game pad and then they resorted to going back to the old PS2 gamepad. wat was up with that?

The irony of the whole thing is that when Sony saw the Wii's trump card was their motion sensing controller, they decided to hijack that technology for the PS3. Even then, its still being out sold by the Wii!
