The black border is not 'capable in the development process or with filters and common special lenses'. I don't mean to sound like a knit-picker but to me those black borders add to the appeal of the image, especially for Choleric's images which are appealing due to the contrast between the black of the border and the white of the snow.
I'm not sure what others think, but I don't think it's really fair having those borders, and adding a little disclaimer to rule #8 to allow such a feature is not really a honest move simply because it is no longer a naturally capable photo. |
We did discuss this before, and yes it is possible in the developmental process, when making the print, all you need to do is block out all the light from the enlarger except the perimiter, among other possibilities.
