But the Dino was budget Ferrari in the first place. It was named after one the sons of Enzo Ferrari, who also worked on its developement.
It was always the budget/underpowered/almost_not_a_Ferrari Ferrari.
It wasn't suposed to be an exclusive Ferrari, but the most sold one, similar to Porsche's 914.
