Opel leaving DTM?

I've heard Opel will stop competing in the DTM probably as a result of GM's finiancial problems and because they can't compete with the Audis or Mercedes. What do you guys think will happen next year? It would be kind of lame for it to be just Audi and MB even though it was kind of like that this year. I'd say BMW should join with a 3 series car, but I know that they won't because all of their resources are probably going into developing the former Sauber F1 team that they bought. I guess I don't know of any other German companies that make sedans (since they have to be according to DTM rules IIRC). VW wouldn't enter, because that would be a waste of money since Audi is already in, and Porsche doesn't have a sedan. Aren't companies from other countries able to enter as well? I think I remember an Alfa Romeo DTM car in the early 90s.
