BMW to show Concept CST soon?

There are rumours out there BMW will show a Concept CST (Compact Sport Touring) at some auto show in the near future (maybe even at Tokyo Show!).

CST is a shooting-brake version of 1er, and has very good chances to be produced (instead of clasical 3-door 1er).

It's a revival of legendary 1600 / 2002 Touring:

i had just pick a view on their press file about tokyo, and there is nothing new.

I remember AMS talking about a successor to those legendary cars years ago.

It hasn't been confirmed for Tokyo yet, but it will definitely be displayed at some auto show in the very very near future ...

Btw, when 1st PR for IAA was out, Z4 Coupe Concept and other concepts weren't mentioned there, but in the later PR ... Maybe it will be the same case here, but I doubt.
I guess we will have to wait a few more months ...

In the meantime press launches of M5 Touring, 3er Coupe (feat. I6 petrol turbo engine: 335Ci), M Roadster, and M6 Cabrio will be out (in Nov. '05 - Jan. '06 time frame)

It would make sense that BMW is readying a spin-off from their
1 series for the U.S. market now that $3.00/gallon gas is the new reality.
+ with the success of the Audi A3 maybe BMW will test the waters again with a hatch...whoops..."sportingbrake."

Well, I sure can't wait for a concept by BMW, and considering I adore the 1er, I'm hoping this CST will be similar...!!

Well there is allready a 3 door Bimmer hatchback. The good old 3er compact.

Ahh...that wasn't a "shot" or much of one.

Anyway I'm interested in BMW's concept...A3 or no.
