![]() | M version Yes or No!!! Now that the 135i is official what s next. Or will the 135i be the so called top end model and we will not see any M model of the 1 series. Lot s magazines have been told from bmw no M model. Do we believe them? |

Since the M3 is betting bigger and heavier with each generation I see a clear need for something a little more nifty but only if BMW can develop an M1 which is at least 175-250kg lighter than the M3, otherwise I don't see the point of an M1. |

![]() | Re: M version Yes or No!!! Ok but the 135i cost 38500 euro in germany. With 306hp 6 pot brakes nice 18 inch wheels. etc etc. few things missing wide wheel arches and M atmo engine rear LSD and light weight. But will an M model sold a lot because most M will get a high pricetag. If it s to expensive manny will go for the 135i which is a very good package too for the money. I rather have an M version let that be clear But i can see some people discussing at BMW and M at the moment. Yes or No |

For me an M car is always far ahead from the rest of the regular line and here is the problem: How can they made a car that is trully superior to the 135i ?? I don't think this possible by putting a simply revised version of the S54 and i don't see BMW spending a huge amount of money on this car. So logically no M1. |

They have plenty of work: M6 CSL ---> still coming? M3 CSL X6 M V10 But those are all updates of existing engines.... I hope they'll start with a completely new high revving magnesium I6 too soon ![]() | |

![]() | Re: M version Yes or No!!! Of course they're gonna make one. It's just a matter of when. It terms of philosophy it is 100% in line with M school of thought, so from that angle they have no excuse. Is there a market for a pocket rocket? Will the sun rise up tomorrow? The next 1 series M car as the potential of becoming legendary, at least in terms of performance. I just hope that BMW won't hold back! But the question is: will it be called the M1?? I bet it's keeping some people at BMW up all night |
