Someone said the 1 won't sell well. I have to say I think you are off base on that one. My prediction this car will fly out of the stealerships. As some have said, it fills so many gaps.

- Always wanted a BMW coupe but the 3 was just a little too steep for ya, no problem!! Let me show you this lovely new coupe we have for ya.
- Power hungry, but want a car on a diet, take a 135i and call me in the morning.
- What do the other German marques offer in this segment? Nada that I can think of right now. Not the GTI, not the A3, the C hatch, none are coupes, none can come close to the performance (well not on paper anyway, not even the venerable S3 or R32). BMW will have STRONG 1st mover advantage with this car. See also Merc CLS and the now upcoming copycats including BMW. If BMW priced the car to cheaply, they would be leaving money on the table as I am willing to bet many many many will be willing to drop some coin for the baby bm.

I personally can't wait for this car. The potential of the 335's are just being tapped into and already they are embarrassing heavyweights such as Carreras, Vettes, Cayman S's, and more. RS4's have to think twice. No I am not putting the 1 in anywhere near the same category as these fantastic cars, just trying to make a point. How much more bang for the buck will you need from the 1??????? The 3 is already offering tons to me, and you're telling me I can get even better performance for 8 grand less? Man some people are hard to please...

Really nice videography on the microsite. I was all about the performance potential of this car and on the fence regarding the styling... liking osme things, not liking others. I'm WAAAAAAAAAY off the fence now. That car is really nice!!! Hey to the person who said it wasn't going to sell well, shall we put a wager on it? They're going to sell like air conditioners for half off in hell.

1-serie is BMW second best selling car, only beaten by 3er. The 1er Coupe (and 3dr Hatchback) will improve sales for 1-series but it wont beat 3er in sales. However, 1er will take away some sales from 3-series, that's for sure.

5er also beats 1er in sales - worldwide. Yet with complete 1er family (3dr, 5dr, coupe, cabrio) 1er can come close & beat 5er (especially in the final years of E60/1 lifecycle).

Wow, BMW finally used Gehry's Guggenheim Musem Bilbao as a background scenery. Yet they should have done it befor - with Z4 coupe!

It looks like it has been worth the wait Scott. It looks classy, sporty as you would expect from a front enging rear-wheel drive 2+2. Will order a 120d QP in one of the blue colors!

Scott any info on what will be standard?
Is it comming in pearlpoint combined with beige?
