Whose first impression? Of us interent forum freaks? Like BMW do care ...

Please, be serious ...

There will be plenty of official promo material + promo activities , so be sure first impression of relevant population (targeted customer base) will be positive.

The car looks hot. And will be a huge hit.

Of course people are tend to bitch until they get a whole picture ... Then they finally realize they were wrong, and change their minds.

I, personally, very much agree with this part. Just created picture in my head about it and that would look stunning indeed.

But hey, the rest of the world doesn't agree with me and that's just the way it goes.

Fragmentation, personalisation, customisation, scale economies, ... and taxes, not to mention EU CO2 laws means that there needs to be a 1er coupe or a 1er series.

The initial 3er was just a 2 door sedan, now we have a 4 door sedan, 2 door coupe, 2 door CC, touring, and BMW is even considering adding some shooting brake and/or targa models.

And what about the 911, C, CS,C4, CS4, Turbo coupe, Turbo cabrio, ... GT3 RS, GT2 ...

Hatches don't really sell in the USA, whilst others consider the hatch as a mini 3er = not hardcore enough (here the coupe will be ahead).

Again, wait for officials and/or IRL.

BTW I agree of all this model confusion over strech.

You can't buy a product which is still on sale right now, not even been official introduced. Chill out ...

I pity every person who make his/her buying decisions based on 2 crappy unofficial pics of a product.
