When the car approaches the robot...it transmits the correct information so the correct components can be installed on the car with no mistakes.

Pretty cool...right?
Very intresting indeed.
My 118d is supposed to go on production in june. Delivery date around july 21st ! Can't wait to get it :

Sparkling graphite
beige leather
heated seats
shiny black interior components
comfort line
17'' 141 rims
i-drive
USB-connexion (for i-pod)

I'm currently driving a basic 118d (pre-facelift).

I hope they don't call an M version of the 1 series the - M1. That spot is reserved for a legend ..

Re: BMW expects the 1-series to lure enthusiasts back into the fold

With due respects to the author of the last post, I do not really understand what is in a name, what does it really matter what they call what, the old or original M1 is long past and probably only remarkable at that time. Perhaps then an alternative name 1M, baby M, The One M it matters not, even if they were to make the leading performance 1er in the future a diesel, why would it matter? It is surely the the car and its dynamics that are the important thing not the name.
