Anyway, congratulations again.
The 1-Series is a great little sports sedan, I think we know what to expect.

However, we're testdriving and ordering the car on Monday. Sadly, it looks like my sister's 118i won't be white anymore (not a very popular color in Germany and it hurts the resale value). We're probably getting a silver or black one.

LOL and thanks.

I have a respect and appreciation for all brands basically. It just so happens that I am a total MB nut.

White is hot but gets dirty easily and you need to wash a lot to keep it clean, not the best color for our climate.
Silver is the best color to hide dirt and if you choose black, well then you are copying my Mum j/k

What about darkgrey color? If you choose a blue color, Tycoon will be very jelous

Re: ***Preview: My Sister's Possibly Soon-To-Be BMW 118i***

My favorite color is black. I love how it shines when it is clean. I love how the sky and everything around it reflects on the car. I love how it shows the curves on the car...I love the differerence it makes with the red tail-lights...and I also love the difference it makes with clean silver wheels and silver grill in the front. It looks mean!

Yes...it is awful when it gets dirty...but which dark color doesn't? Silver is the only color that you don't see dirt...but then again it is a very boring color according to my opinion.

My Alfa 147 is black...and my next car will also be black...and the car after that.

Well my father is thinking about silver or dark blue, my sister is undecided right now. She's coming home tomorrow so I guess we'll see what the final verdict on the color will be.

I think white looks stunning on the 1-Series. Everyone here drives a silver 1-Series so I don't want her 1-Series to look like your typical German 1-Series here.

Re: ***Preview: My Sister's Possibly Soon-To-Be BMW 118i***

With the 120d sport on the first page, has BMW already fitted the new rear facelifted light onto non-facelift models? That white 120d is obviously pre-facelift, but yet it has the new neon tail light cluster...

how do you know its a prefacelift? My dealer has a LeMans blue 120d with M-package, facelift and 177hp for sale. Germany and Sweden already got the facelift delievered to customers.

Not just Germany and Sweden. The whole of Europe, including the 3-door.

Actually, you're right...I think I have only seen the 3-door at the Amsterdam car show... I have yet to see it at my dealership too
