Also interesting in the future: x20i 2.0L I4 HPI ... ~190HP x25i 2.0L I4 turbo ... ~230HP x28i 3.0L I6 HPI ... ~260HP x30i 3.0L I6 HPI ... ~ 290HP x35i 3.0L I6 turbo ... ~ 330HP x20d 2.0L I4 CR (common rail) ... ~185HP x25d 2.0L I4 turbo ... 204HP (-> 218HP) x30d 3.0L I6 CR ... ~245HP x35d 3.0L I6 turbo ... ~300HP ![]() Mind that N52 3.0L NA engine was first set at 258HP, and over the years same engine was able to deliver 272HP. Now N53 is starting at 272HP, and will hit ~290HP soon (either with X6 3.0si or 730i) - my guess will be 286HP. And with turbo engines even more manipulation is possible. So 306HP from N54 is just a beginning. With current engine hardware - yet BMW are already upgrading the engine with new tech for the future models - eg. F5, and new 5er. | |
