Spied: BMW 1-Series coupe

A coupe variant of the BMW 1-Series has been spied in testing. The 1-Series launched as a three-door vehicle recently, but the new series is already set to expand with a coupe model. The 1-Series coupe is expected to launch by the end of this year to be followed by a soft-top convertible and possibly a M version in 2008.

seems the front is fully 1 series in the coupe
i was expecting a different headlight and grill design for further differentioation
well no major biggie since 2er et al are only for US

from the pics it seems like a hardtop convertible? that will be SCIK!

It's about time already... Hopefully this translates into early release ('08???)??? Notice the proportions are spot on w/ the original 2002.

Is it true that the coupe will be out already at the end of 07?

EDIT: Is it going to be 1er or 2er?
