The 5 door looked really nice on 1er. Unfortunately it is not available for the US market.

5dr most definitely, more practical, and the doors are shorter, so it's easier it get out in tight spaces!

I'd also go for the 120d, got more power than the petrol and better economy!

I'd rather have a 3-door 130i with M package, but the new 2.0 diesel is a close second....That engine must be awesome and perfect for the 1er, the 130 just is more fun and faster.
